Natalia clasped her hands behind her back as she had before she was greeted. She giggled lightly at his sharp wit before glancing away. Here we go again. And he was a military man, too. Soldiers were always the least likely to settle with her name instead of her title.
“A royal, as a matter of face,” she corrected gently. “Princess is my title. Princess of the Kingdom of Kimlasca-Lanvaldear. Though, please, Natalia is fine. I am more of the people’s princess than the noble’s.”
A princess? Well, wasn’t that a severe change in the situation. And it showed. If it was possible, Hubert straightened his back a bit more, folding his arms behind his back. Regardless of her words, a quick bow followed.
“I am afraid I can not settle for an informality, Princess. It would be improper of me to address a noble by their first name.” Especially one he knew nothing about… Standing back straight, Hubert nodded toward her, “May I inquire- what are you doing out here? A princess should not be so far from her capital, should she?”
